How to Join the SSA


You need not be a pilot to become a member of the SSA - just have an interest in aviation.

You can sign up using one of several ways:

  1. Join or renew your membership online by clicking here.

  2. Call us at (505) 392-1177 within the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Mountain Time). We can sign you up over the phone and answer any questions concerning your membership. We accept most credit cards: MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Visa.

  3. Download our Membership Application. (Our Membership Application is in pdf format.) Fill it out and FAX it to: (505) 392-8154 or mail it to:

For more information complete the online Information Request form, and select Membership Info from the drop-down menu.

Member Categories
LIFE MEMBER: Receives all benefits listed on the Benefits Listing.

Contact the office for availability and pricing on life membership in the SSA.
FULL MEMBER: Receives all benefits listed on the Benefits Listing.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER: Available only to Full Members with 5 consecutive years of membership without a break, and renewing Associate Members. Receives benefits 1, 13-14, 16-18 as listed on the Benefits Listing.
YOUTH MEMBER: Available only to persons age 22 or less. Receives benefits 1, 3-18 as listed on the Benefits Listing.
FAMILY MEMBER: Available to any person in the same family/household of a voting member. Receives benefits 3-18 as listed on the Benefits Listing.
